FAQ
Truck dispatch questions, answered
Still have a question? Talk to an agent in English or Spanish.
What does a truck dispatch service do?
A truck dispatch service finds and books loads for your truck, negotiates rates with brokers, handles carrier setup and paperwork, and supports your driver on the road. At Dispatch Center Services we also plan your whole week by market in DispatchAI before booking the first load.
How much does your truck dispatch service cost?
Our dispatch fee starts at 5% for semi trucks (18-wheelers with dry van, reefer and flatbed trailers), 6% for power only and 8% for hot shot, calculated on each load’s full rate. We invoice once a week: every Monday you receive one invoice for the loads booked the previous week. Factoring paperwork is included in your dispatch fee; the factoring company charges its own fee.
Do you work with owner operators?
Yes. We dispatch for owner operators across the United States, and we adjust our process to each carrier’s requirements.
Do you work with small fleets?
Yes. Each truck gets its own weekly plan in DispatchAI, every driver gets the app, and you get weekly reports per driver. Each dispatcher works with only 5 to 8 trucks.
What types of trucks do you dispatch?
We dispatch dry van, reefer, flatbed, power only and hot shot equipment.
How many trucks does each dispatcher handle?
Each dispatcher works with only 5 to 8 trucks, so every truck gets attention. Each carrier also gets an additional team member for back office work.
Do my drivers need to learn new software?
No. Your drivers only use the DispatchAI app to get dispatched: they receive each load with pickup, delivery, stops and instructions. Each driver gets an invitation by email to sign in to the app, so there’s no account to set up. Our team handles the planning, brokers and paperwork.
Do you offer dispatch services in Spanish?
Yes. Our team is bilingual and works in English and Spanish. Hablamos español.
